“Social” Norms: More than Just a Facebook Page

Are you making the most out of social media?  According to Dentistry IQ, approximately 89% of dental practices have a Facebook page, but only 37% are actively posting multiple times a week.  As more and more people turn to the internet for information and social connections, it is essential to keep your online presence up to date.

By not maintaining a constant social media presence, you could be mission out on potential new patients, which could hurt your bottom line.  In today’s digital society, people most often look to the internet first to find answers and recommendations.  Keeping an active online presence shows that your practice is engaged.  Social media is also a great way to establish a more personal connection with your existing patients.  By engaging them while they’re not in the chair, they are reassured that they have made the right decision by investing their time, money and trust into your practice.

Create engagement by offering interesting information or hosting contests and giveaways.  By remaining active, you will become part of your patients’ everyday lives, and will be the first practice they call when their 6-month cleaning rolls around.

At PureLife, we feel it is important to make more meaningful connections with our customers.  If you haven’t done so already, “like” us on Facebook and join the conversation–we would love to hear from you!
