It’s East Being Green!

We have all heard of the term “carbon footprint,” but many are left wondering what that actually means.  A carbon footprint is the total amount of greenhouse gasses produced both directly and indirectly by human activity.  When carbon dioxide is released into the environment, the levels of CO2 within the Earth’s atmosphere are heightened.

The increased levels of carbon dioxide within the atmosphere trap solar energy that is supposed to be released back into space, leading to negative environmental consequences such as rising sea levels and accelerated melting of polar ice caps.

At PureLife, we aim to reduce our carbon footprint whenever we can.  As a dental distributor, one of our primary environmental impacts comes from the shipping of products around the world.  That’s why we offset our carbon emissions through our partnership with the non-profit CarbonFund.org.  Offsetting our carbon emissions allows us to have an immediate impact on environmental health.

Since our founding in 2009, PureLife has offset all of the carbon emissions generated from the transportation and delivery of our products–from the manufacturing line all the way to the customer’s door.  The money from these offsets funds environmental programs, like reforestation projects, which help to reduce the amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere.  Now, seven years later, those offsets have really added up:  PureLife has offset over 6,500 tons of carbon dioxide–the equivalent of planting over 175,000 trees!

In other words, every product you buy from PureLife comes with an improved eco impact!
